On 09/01/2026, at 1:50 pm, a deputy took a walk-in report of fraud. The investigation is ongoing.
On 09/01/2026, at 1:16 pm, a deputy responded to the Braymer School for a report of a student with a marijuana vape. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile Office.
On 09/02/2026 at 3:15 pm, deputies responded to an address on NW Kidder Road for a report of a domestic dispute. The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made. At approximately 6:34 pm, deputies received a second call of a disturbance at the same address, which resulted in the arrest of a 65-year-old female from Kidder for domestic assault.
On 09/02/2026, at 2:00 pm, a deputy took a report of a scam from a resident on Barwick Drive, Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.
On 09/03/2026, at 12:25 pm, a deputy responded with Children's Division to a child and abuse neglect hotline call alleging possible child abuse. The allegations were unfounded.
On 09/03/2026, at 5:41 pm, a deputy took a report of a stolen AED. The investigation is ongoing.
On 09/04/2026, at 10:20 am, a 40-year-old male from Crosby, TX, was stopped at WB 36 Highway at Kidder Road and cited for speeding (16 mph over).
On 09/04/2026, at 7:27 pm, a 29-year-old male from Higginsville, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 at Rock Island Road in Cowgill and cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
On 09/05/2026, at 6:06 pm, a 28-year-old male from Hamilton was stopped at Highway 13 at State Route P in Hamilton and cited for speeding (10 mph over).
On 09/06/2026, at 2:30 am, Caldwell County Deputies responded to Polo for a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was located, and a report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile Office.
On 09/08/2026, at 8:58 pm, a deputy responded to an address on Elm Street in Polo, MO, for a report of an assault involving a subject with a firearm. A 25-year-old male from that address was arrested for assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
On 09/09/2026 at 12:39 pm, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 36 and Lovely Ridge in Hamilton and cited for no driver's license.
On 09/09/2026, at 3:56 pm, a 27-year-old male from Braymer was stopped at Highway 13 and Elm Street in Polo and cited for expired plates.
On 06/24/2026, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office began investigating a burglary and theft of a vehicle at a business at the 6000 block of SE Yankee Ridge in Polo, MO. The suspect was identified as 40-year-old Stephen Jon Adams of Polo. On 09/10/2026, Mr. Adams was arrested during Caldwell County court.
On 09/10/2026, at 12:50 pm, a 26-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 at State Route F in Kingston and cited for speeding (20 mph over).
On 09/11/2026, at 11:30 pm, a resident on Holstein reported their dog was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
On 09/11/2026, at 3:04 pm, a resident of Cowgill reported fraud. The investigation is ongoing.
On 09/12/2026, at 12:20 pm, a deputy responded to the Penney High School football stadium in Hamilton, for a report of a man with a gun, which resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Randy K. Saltz of Cameron, MO, for unlawful possession of a firearm, armed criminal action, making a terrorist threat, and domestic assault. Saltz remains in custody with no bond.
On 09/13/2026, at 9:53 am, a deputy responded to an address on Whispering Oaks in Cameron, Caldwell County, for a report of a deceased person. No foul was suspected.
On 09/14/2026, at 2:18 pm, a 30-year-old female from Hamilton, MO, was taken into custody by deputies on a 96-hour hold and transported to a medical facility.
On 09/14/2026 at 3:26 pm, a deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Davis and Bird in Hamilton. The driver, a 30-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was cited for no driver's license.
On 09/14/2026, at 3:56 pm, a 40-year-old male from Sandown, NH, was stopped at Highway 13 at Lincoln Street in Kingston and cited for speeding (31 mph over).
On 09/17/2026, at 1:20 pm, a 36-year-old male from Lawson, MO, was arrested during Caldwell County court on a warrant for non-support.
On 09/20/2026, at 10:56 am, a deputy authorized a tow for an abandoned vehicle next to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Old Highway 36 and Hicks Rd.
On 09/21/2026, at 2:00 pm, a Caldwell County deputy was bit by a dog while serving a paper on Wildlife Road, Cowgill, Caldwell County, MO. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Health Department.
On 09/22/2026, at 7:07 pm, a deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 13 and State Route P. The driver was identified as a 17-year-old without a valid driver's license. The driver's parents were contacted and responded to the scene.
On 09/23/2026, at 3:11 pm, an 18-year-old male from Amity, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 at Independence in Hamilton and cited for speeding (31 mph over).
On 09/24/2026, at 9:13 am, a 29-year-old male from KCMO was arrested during Caldwell County court on a warrant for a traffic violation.
On 09/24/2026, at 3:56 pm, a 29-year-old female from Hamilton was stopped at Highway at Broadway Street in Kingston and cited for speeding (10 mph over).
On 09/25/2026, at 2:54 pm, a deputy took a walk-in report from a resident on Dodgers in Kingston, MO, of a theft of jewelry from their home. The investigation is ongoing.
On 09/27/2026, at 12:23 pm, deputies responded to an address on Rosewood at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, for a report of an unattended death. No foul play was suspected.
On 09/27/2026, at 3:21 pm, deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive male subject at an address in the City of Polo, which was caused by a vehicle that fell on their body. The subject was treated and transported by Caldwell County Emergency Services but died due to their injuries.
On 09/28/2026, at 3:00 pm, a deputy responded to a skid steer on fire on Wolf Grove in Breckenridge. The Shoal Creek Fire Department from Breckenridge and Braymer responded and extinguished the fire. No foul play was suspected.
On 09/28/2026, at 6:25 pm, a deputy responded to the Kidder Park for a report of vandalism.
