On 05/01/2025, at 8:14 pm, a 16-year-old male from Cowgill, MO, was stopped near the intersection at Rock Island Road and Highway 116, Cowgill, MO, and cited for excessive speed (13 mph over).
On 05/02/2025, at 3:20 pm, a resident on Houston Road, Polo, MO, reported their license plate lost or stolen.
On 05/02/2025 at 11:33 pm, a deputy responded to a greenhouse fire at a residence on State Route U, Hamilton, MO. The fire was caused by a candle that was left lit inside the greenhouse.
On 05/03/2025, at 3:03 pm, a deputy located a 36-year-old male subject from Breckenridge that had an active Caldwell County warrant for non-support. The subject was unable to post the $5,000 cash-only bond and was taken into custody.
On 05/04/2025, at 10:38 am, a 29-year-old male from Lawson, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Farwest, Kingston, MO, and cited for excessive speed (15 mph over).
On 05/04/2025, at 11:13 pm, a 42-year-old male from Great Bend, KS, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Lovely Ridge, Hamilton, MO, and cited for excessive speed (15 mph over).
On 05/05/2025, at 1:25 am, a 25-year-old female from Terre Haute, IN, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and State Route B, Hamilton, MO, and cited for excessive speed (17 mph over).
On 05/05/2025 at 11:16 am, a deputy took a report from the Braymer School District, of a possible sexual assault involving a child. The investigation revealed the incident occurred in Ray County. All information was forwarded to the proper jurisdiction.
On 05/05/2025, at 2:10 pm, a deputy received a court order for a 96-hour involuntary detention for a resident of Hamilton, MO. That subject was taken into custody and transported to a medical facility.
On 05/07/2025, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department opened an investigation in reference to assault. On 05/04/2025, staff from the Caldwell County Detention Center were notified of a possible assault inside a detention center pod. After further investigation, an inmate was found to have sustained injuries, needing medical attention. The inmate was evaluated by Cameron Ambulance District staff and later transported to an area hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
On 05/07/2025, at 4:22 pm, a resident on Circle Drive in Hamilton, MO, reported their child's bicycle stolen. The bicycle was returned, and the victim did not want to pursue with criminal charges.
On 05/07/2025, at 5:53pm, a 25-year-old female from Kansas City, MO, was stopped at the 3000 block of Highway 116, Cowgill, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle and excessive speed (15 mph over).
On 05/08/2025, at 5:21 am, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Davis and McGaughy, Hamilton, MO, for a report of peace disturbance. The subject causing the disturbance agreed to leave, and no arrest was made.
On 05/08/2025, at 7:55 am, a 26-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Elm, Polo, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.
On 05/09/2025, at 1:45 pm, a 19-year-old male from Excelsior Springs, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Farwest Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for excessive speed (23 mph over).
On 05/09/2025, at 3:31 pm, a 32-year-old male from E. Chicago, IN, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Business 36, Hamilton, MO, and cited for excessive speed (20 mph over).
On 05/09/2025, at 4:26 pm, a 27-year-old male from Kingston, MO, was stopped at State Route W and John Deere Road, Kingston, MO, and was arrested for driving while suspended.
On 05/09/2025, at 5:45 pm, a 20-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and Peak, Polo, MO, and cited for expired plates.
On 05/09/2025, at 7:00 pm, a 37-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was stopped near the on Highway 116, east of Braymer, MO, and cited for excessive speed (17 mph over).
On 05/09/2025, at 7:40 pm, a 28-year-old female from Ludington, MI, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Elm Grove, Breckenridge, MO, and cited for excessive speed (20 mph over).
On 05/10/2025, at 6:00 pm, a deputy was notified of an abandoned vehicle located at a field entrance near 36 Highway and M Highway, Breckenridge, MO. The owner of the property requested the vehicle be towed. Contact was made with the owner, and the vehicle was removed.
On 05/10/2025, at 4:28 pm, deputies responded to an address in Breckenridge, MO, for a report of a possible sexual assault involving juveniles. The investigation is ongoing, and a report was forwarded to the Children's Division and the Juvenile Office.
On 05/11/2025 at 9:13 pm, a deputy responded to a physical altercation that occurred during a child custody exchange in Breckenridge, MO. The suspects left the scene before a deputy arrived. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor's office for the filing of formal charges.
On 05/14/2025, at 1:19 pm, a resident on Millcreek Drive in Cameron, Caldwell County, MO, reported a firearm stolen from their vehicle.
On 05/15/2025, at 12:01 pm, deputies responded to two small children in only diapers near 13 Highway and Bird Street in Hamilton. The caregiver, a 29-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was located asleep at a residence on Bird Street and was arrested on a Dekalb County failure to appear warrant, on the original charge of domestic assault. The male subject was also placed on a 24-hour hold for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
On 5/16/2025 at 7:53 pm, a deputy responded to a domestic dispute at an address on Highway 116, Cowgill, MO. The parties involved accused one another of theft and property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
On 05/17/2025, at 10:37 am, a deputy took a report of identity theft from a residence on State Route HH, Cameron, Caldwell County, MO, that occurred 6 months prior. Detectives are working on collecting information to proceed with the investigation.
On 05/17/2025, at 2:29 pm, a 19-year-old male from Olathe, KS, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Kendall Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for speeding (14 mph over).
On 05/17/2025, at 5:48 pm, a deputy responded to the 200 block of E Berry, Hamilton, MO, for a report of a stolen motorized scooter. The victim's grandson was found in possession of the scooter, and it was returned.
On 05/18/2025, at 6:27 pm, a 32-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and State Route B, Cowgill, MO, and cited for excessive speed (14 mph over).
On 05/19/2025, at 9:42 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Wildlife Road, Cowgill, MO, for a report of theft. It was reported by the residents that when they received their mail, the package that was supposed to contain their passports was empty. It could not be determined if the passports were lost in the mail or were stolen.
On 05/19/2025, at 10:30 am, a 35-year-old male from Jamesport, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Daviess County bond violation warrant on the original charge of 2nd degree domestic assault.
On 05/19/2025 at 1:10 pm, Caldwell County Deputies responded to the 700 block of W. Berry, for a report of property damage. It was discovered there was a civil agreement with the parties involved, and no criminal charges were filed.
On 05/19/2025, at 2:00 pm, a 62-year-old male from Altamont, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Caldwell County warrant for aggravated fleeing, driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
On 05/19/2025 at 3:02 pm, deputies responded to Polo, MO, for a report of a runaway juvenile from Barry County, MO, that was possibly sighted in that area. A deputy located the juvenile, and the juvenile was turned over to the Children's Division.
On 05/20/2025, at 9:30 am, a resident of Hideaway Lakes, Polo, MO, reported fraud. A 36-year-old male from Richmond, MO, was identified as the suspect. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor for the filing of formal charges of financial exploitation of a disabled person.
On 05/20/2025, at 11:54 am, a deputy responded to an address on Broadway Street, Breckenridge, MO, for a report of a possible dangerous dog. The owner of the dog was contacted and agreed to leave his dog at his home.
On 05/21/2025, at 10:30 am, a 23-year-old female from Windsor, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and State Route V, Polo, MO, and cited for no vehicle registration.
On 05/21/2025, at 1:30 pm, a 36-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was stopped on Bobcat Drive, Braymer, MO, and cited for no turn signal and careless & imprudent driving.
On 05/22/2025, at 8:25 am, a 30-year-old male from Cameron, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Dekalb County probation violation warrant, on the original charge of driving while intoxicated. The subject violated the conditions of his probation by being arrested on another driving while intoxicated charge.
On 05/22/2025, at 1:15 pm, deputies responded to a residence at the 300 block of Main, Cowgill, MO, for a report of a domestic dispute. Both deputies reported they did not observe any visible injuries to the subjects involved and they had separated. The deputies invoked the Missouri 12-hour domestic rule, and no arrests were made.
On 05/23/2025 at 11:00 am, a deputy took a report of assault at the Caldwell County Detention Center. It was reported an inmate threw bodily fluid at two detention officers, striking them in their face. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor for the filing of formal charges of assault.
On 05/24/2025, at 10:58 am, a 62-year-old male from Hannibal, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Business 36, Hamilton, MO, and cited for no vehicle registration.
On 05/23/2025 at 11:00 am, a deputy took a report of property damage at the Caldwell County Detention Center. It was reported an inmate intentionally damaged the sprinkler system and flooded a cell. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
On 05/24/2025, at 7:16 pm, deputies responded to a residence at the 500 block of Main Street, Braymer, MO, for a report of a 36-year-old male subject from Braymer, MO that threatened to burn a family member's house in a post that was made on Facebook. The subject was charged with peace disturbance, harassment, and violation of an order of protection, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The subject is aware of the warrant and is avoiding apprehension.
On 05/25/2025, at 8:02 am, a 22-year-old male from Kansas City, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Highway 13, Hamilton, MO, and cited for excessive speed (22 mph over).
On 05/25/2025, deputies responded to numerous calls in the city limits of Hamilton, MO, regarding a male subject that appeared to be under the influence and was acting suspiciously and alarming many citizens. The subject was eventually taken into custody, but later released.
On 05/26/2025, at 3:53 am, a 19-year-old female from Kearney, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 36 and Nettleton Road, Hamilton, MO, and cited for excessive speed (23 mph over).
On 05/26/2025, at 3:40 pm, a 28-year-old male from Cameron, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Kendall Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for excessive speed (25 mph over).
On 05/26/2025, at 11:31 am, deputies responded to Hideaway Lakes, Polo, MO, for a report of an abandoned vehicle, which was reported to have been stolen out of Excelsior Springs, MO. The Excelsior Springs Police Department was contacted, and the vehicle was removed.
On 05/27/2025, at 12:10, a 37-year-old female from Moberly, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Livingston County bond violation warrant, on the original charge of delivery of a controlled substance. The subject violated bond conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance.
On 05/27/2025, at 2:40 pm, a 32-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was stopped near the intersection of 7th and Main Street, Braymer, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle and failing to provide proof of financial responsibility.
On 05/28/2025, at 6:50 am, a 30-year-old female from Kingston, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Farwest Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.
On 05/28/2025, at 7:13 am, an 18-year-old female subject was arrested at a residence on State Route B, Hamilton, MO, on an active Caldwell County bond violation warrant on the original charge of delivery of a controlled substance. The subject violated the conditions of her bond by failing to obey the judge's order to have no contact with her co-defendant.
On 05/29/2025 at 12:57 pm, a deputy responded to Casey's in Hamilton, MO, for a report of several possible juveniles or young adults who stole and attempted to steal alcohol. Most of the subjects involved have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
On 5/29/2025 at 7:28 pm, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to 800 E Broadway Breckenridge, MO, in reference to a domestic assault. The parties involved separated, and no arrest was made.
On 05/30/2025, at 7:00 am, a deputy authorized an abandoned vehicle with no vehicle registration to be towed from Center Road at Highway 36, Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.
On 05/30/2025, at 7:30 am, a 58-year-old female from Polo, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and State Route F, Kingston, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.
On 5/30/2025, at 9:43 am, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to an address at Diamond Ridge Dr, (Hideaway Lakes), Polo, MO, in reference to threats. The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.
On 05/30/2025, at 10:34 am, a deputy responded to Rosewood Cemetery in Breckenridge, MO, in regard to a subject there that wanted to report threats made by a mentally disabled person. No charges were filed.
On 05/30/2025 at 11:09 pm, a deputy responded to the intersection of Falcon and Fox Meadow in Polo, MO, for report of a subject that displayed a firearm during a verbal altercation at Casey's. The suspect was identified as a 54-year-old male from Polo, MO, and left the scene before deputies arrived. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor for filing of formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and assault.
On 05/31/2025, at 7:10 am, a 26-year-old male from Lawson, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Dodgers, Polo, MO, and cited for excessive speed (14 mph over).
On 05/31/2025, at 2:05 pm, a 34-year-old male from Country Club, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Kendall Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for excessive speed (17 mph over).
On 05/31/2025, at 2:10 pm, a 39-year-old male from Braymer, MO, turned himself in on an active Caldwell County probation violation warrant on the original charge of domestic assault.
