Caldwell County Sheriff's Office June, 2025-NEWS RELEASE

On 06/01/2025 at 10:29 pm, deputies responded to an address on Front Street in Kidder, MO, in regard to a suspicious person.  The person located is an autistic non-verbal teenager, and the guardians were unaware that he was missing.  The incident was reported to the Children's Division.

On 06/02/2025 at 8:56 pm, a deputy responded to the area of Main Street and First Street, Braymer, MO, for a report of a careless and imprudent driver.  The driver, a 71-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was arrested for driving without a valid license, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  He remains in custody with no bond.  

On 06/03/2025, at 3:32 pm, a 36-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was arrested in Braymer on an active Caldwell County warrant for harassment and violation of an order of protection.

On 06/03/2025, at 3:28 pm, a subject contacted the Sheriff's Office in regard to a 36-year-old male from Braymer, MO, who had an active Caldwell County warrant and was at a gas station in Braymer, MO.   The subject with the warrant was found hiding in a cooler inside the store and was taken into custody.  A 33-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was also arrested for hindering prosecution.

On 06/04/2025, at 3:39 pm, a 26-year-old male from Braymer was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and Rock Island and cited for failure to register. 

On 06/05/2025, at 5:30 pm, a 25-year-old male from Ankeny, IA, was stopped near the intersection of Broadway and Highway 13 and cited for speeding (20 mph over). 

On 06/06/2025, at 9:09 pm, a deputy responded to the 100 block of N. 9th Street in Breckenridge, MO, for a report of a suicidal subject.

On 06/07/2025, at 3:30 pm, a 35-year-old male from Braymer was stopped near the intersection of 1st and Main in Braymer and cited for failure to register, failure to provide proof of financial responsibility, and an unrestrained child. 

On 06/08/2025 at 10:11 am, Caldwell County deputies recovered a stolen trailer on Joe Montana Road, which was reported stolen in 2023 out of N. Kansas City, MO.

On 06/09/2025, at 4:30 am, a 28-year-old male from Hamilton was stopped near the intersection of Berry and Highway 13 and cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. 

On 06/09/2025, at 12:04 pm, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that occurred at the 100 block of Shouse in Braymer, MO.  The petitioner in that protection order was unable to show proof that a violation occurred. No criminal charges were filed.

On 06/09/2025, at 9:03 pm, deputies responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Highway 116, Braymer, MO.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 06/10/2025, at 3:08 pm, a 35-year-old male from Lathrop, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and Boulder and cited for speeding (26 mph over). 

On 06/10/2025, at 5:00 pm, deputies received an anonymous tip that a 25-year-old male from Breckenridge, MO, had an active Livingston County warrant and was driving around Breckenridge.  The subject fled from his vehicle and left it unattended.  A firearm was recovered from that vehicle and was seized for safekeeping.  The male subject was later apprehended in Daviess County.

On 06/11/2025, at 6:25 pm, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to Braymer for a report of a suicidal subject.  That subject was contacted and transported to a medical facility.

On 06/11/2025, at 10:12 pm, a Caldwell County Deputy was dispatched to Braymer in reference to a complaint of an order of protection violation.  

On 06/12/2025, at 1:30 pm, a 42-year-old male from Gilman City, MO, was stopped near the intersection of State Route P and Highway 13 in Kingston and cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. 

On 06/13/2025, at 6:59 pm, a deputy responded to an address on Elk Run (Hideaway Lakes), for a report of a burglary not in progress.  It was reported that at an unknown date and time, someone unlawfully entered the residence and stole several items inside.

On 06/14/2025, at 10:43 pm, a 53-year-old male from Lathrop, MO, was stopped on Highway 13 in Hamilton and cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. 

On 06/15/2025, at 12:25 am, a deputy responded to an unresponsive subject at a residence in Polo, who died of natural causes. 

On 06/16/2025, at 6:26 am, a 26-year-old male from Peru, I, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Dustin in Hamilton and cited for speed (16 mph over). 

On 06/16/2025, at 2:00 pm, a deputy took a report of shoplifting from a business in Hamilton, MO.  The suspects were identified and located.  At the request of the business owner, arrangements were made with the suspects to pay for the stolen items, and the suspects were banned from the business.

On 06/16/2025, at 7:19 pm, a deputy responded to an address on Fox Meadow (Hideaway Lakes) for a report. 

On 06/18/2025, at 12:58 am, a 22-year-old female from Cameron, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Arthur Street in Hamilton and cited for failure to register. 

On 06/18/2025, at 1:07 am, a 33-year-old female from Cowgill, MO, was stopped near the intersection of State Route F and Highway 13 in Cowgill and cited for failure to register.

On 06/19/2025, at 11:07 am, a deputy took a report of a stolen cell phone from a resident on Sale Barn Rd., Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.  The phone was later found in Independence, MO.    

On 06/20/2025, at 12:16 pm, a deputy took a report of a sexual assault involving a child. The incident was reported to have occurred in the city limits of Hamilton, MO, and the investigation is on-going.

On 06/20/2025, at 12:26 pm, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that occurred on Bonanza Drive in Kingston. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor.

On 06/20/2025, at 6:03 pm, a deputy responded to an address in Braymer for a report of a dog bite.  

On 06/20/2025, at 5:32 pm, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that occurred in Braymer.  A 79-year-old male from Braymer was arrested for violating the order.

On 06/21/2025, at 5:28 am, a 27-year-old female from Waukegan, IL, was stopped near the intersection of Des Moines Road and Highway 36 and cited for speed (34 mph over). 

On 06/21/2025, at 11:20 am, a 69-year-old male from Kingston was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 116 in Polo and cited for failure to register and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

On 06/21/2025, at 7:10 pm, an 18-year-old male from Gallatin, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 13 and Kendall Road in Kingston and cited for speeding (15 mph over). 

On 06/22/2025, at 2:22 am, a deputy responded to a report of an intoxicated subject in Hamilton.  The subject was arrested for minor in possession and resisting arrest and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

On 06/22/2025, at 11:02 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Mount Street in Polo for a structure fire. 

On 06/22/2025, at 7:00 pm, a deputy took a report of property damage to a truck that occurred at a residence on State Route T, Polo, MO.   The suspects have been identified, and the investigation is on-going. 

On 06/23/2025, at 10:55 am, a 60-year-old male from Granbury, TX, was stopped near the intersection of Elm and Frances Street in Polo and cited for no vehicle registration.

On 06/23/2025, at 11:13 am, a 37-year-old female from Polo was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and Holstein and cited for failure to register and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility

On 06/24/2025, at 11:22 am, a 20-year-old male from Polo was stopped near the intersection of Elm and Frances Street in Polo and cited for no vehicle registration. 

On 06/25/2025, at 9:29 pm, deputies were dispatched to Casey's in Polo for a report of a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle was located by a FLOCK camera system in Excelsior Springs, and two subjects from that area were taken into custody.  

On 06/25/2025, at 10:34 pm, a deputy responded to an address at Eagle Creek Drive in Polo (Hideaway Lakes) for a report of a possible break-in.  The investigation is on-going.

On 06/26/2025 at 1:25 pm, a 36-year-old male from Breckenridge, MO, was arrested at the Caldwell County courthouse on an active Caldwell County warrant for non-support.

On 06/26/2025, at 4:41 pm, deputies responded to an unattended death at an address on Tri-County Line, Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.  The death was a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  

On 06/26/2025, at 7:00 pm, a deputy took a report of a missing person from an address on W. School Street in Hamilton.  The subject was located safe.

On 06/26/2025, at 7:00 pm, a deputy responded to Casey's in Braymer for a report of an order of protection violation, which resulted in the arrest of a 79-year-old male subject from Braymer.  

On 06/27/2025, at 11:00 am, a deputy took a report of missing person from an address on Highway 116 in Polo.  The subject was located safe.

On 06/29/2025, the 79-year-old male subject from Braymer was arrested a second time for violating an order of protection. 

On 06/30/2025, at 9:30 am, a 35-year-old male subject from Kidder, MO, walked into the Sheriff's Office and turned himself in on an active probation violation warrant on the original charge of domestic assault.

On 06/29/2025, at 8:00 pm, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that occurred at an address on Milwaukee in Polo, which resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male from Cowgill, MO.
