Caldwell County Sheriff's Office December 2025-NEWS RELEASE

On 12/01/2025, at 9:16 pm, deputies responded to an address on Locust Street in Kidder for a report of a domestic disturbance.  The investigation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Kidder man for minor in possession of alcohol and domestic assault.  On 12/11/2025, the male subject pled guilty to domestic assault and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

On 12/04/2025, at 8:29 am, deputies responded to an address on Ore Road, in Lathrop, Caldwell County, MO, for a report of a domestic disturbance.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 12/05/2025, at 10:48, a 38-year-old from Hamilton was stopped on Highway 116 at State Route D, Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speed (12 mph over).

On 12/05/2025, at 11:10 pm, a 20-year-old male from Des Moines, IA, was stopped at Highway 116 and Peak in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 12/06/2025, at 5:23 am, Caldwell County Deputies responded to an address on Granville Road in Braymer in reference to a deceased person.  No foul play was suspected.

On 12/06/2025, at 11:19 am, a deputy arrested a 47-year-old male at an address on E Maple in Breckenridge on a Boone County warrant for domestic assault.

On 12/06/2025 at 7:10 pm, Caldwell County deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Red Brick Road in Cowgill, MO.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 12/06/2025, at 6:20 pm, Caldwell County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on E Cross Street in Hamilton.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 12/06/2025, at 11:01 pm, a 49-year-old male from Kingston was stopped at Highway 116 and Brangus in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speeding (18 mph over).

On 12/06/2025, at 11:15 pm, a 27-year-old male from Higginsville, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Brangus in Lathrop, Caldwell County, MO, and cited for speeding (20 mph over).

On 12/08/2025, at 7:56 am, a 67-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route P in Hamilton and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 12/08/2025, a deputy took a delayed property damage report to a vehicle in Cowgill.  The damage was reported to have occurred a month prior.  The report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor for consideration in filing charges on a 51-year-old male from Cowgill.

On 12/09/2025, at 9:30 am, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 36 at Caldwell Road in Kidder for an equipment violation.  The driver, a 28-year-old male from Kansas City, MO, was cited for no driver's license.

On 12/10/2025, at 7:45 am, a deputy responded to an address on Stoutmore in Polo for a report of a vehicle that was tampered with. It was reported that someone unlawfully entered the vehicle during the overnight hours and rummaged through the glove box and center console. 

On 12/10/2025, at 6:55 pm, a 27-year-old male from Excelsior Springs, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Gold, in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speed (20 mph over).

On 12/10/2025, at 7:10 pm, deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Red Brick Road in Cowgill.  The parties involved separated, and an order of protection violation report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office.

On 12/11/2025, at 6:36 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Millcreek in Hamilton for a report of an electric fence solar charger that was stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 12/12/2025, at 12:50 pm, a deputy responded to an address on Holiday Drive at Hideaway Lakes in Polo for a report of burglary.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 12/12/2025, at 4:15 am, a deputy responded to a residence in Polo for a report of a suicidal subject.  The subject was located and transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

On 12/12/2025, at 5:45 pm, a deputy responded to the area of Old 36 Highway in Hamilton for a report of a suicidal subject.  The subject was located and transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

On 12/13/2025, at 1:15 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Maple Street in Breckenridge for an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance.  A 35-year-old male from Breckenridge was arrested for peace disturbance and was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 12/14/2025, at 2:09 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on 9th Street in Breckenridge for a report of a suicidal subject. That subject was located and transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation.

On 12/15/2025, at 10:26 am, a deputy took a report of property damage on Elk Run at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, which resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old male from Polo.  

On 12/15/2025, at 1:26 pm, deputies responded to an unattended death at an address in Breckenridge, MO.  No foul play was suspected.

On 12/15/2025, at 6:36 pm, a 25-year-old male from Richmond, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Kirkpatrick and cited for speed (13 mph over).

On 12/16/2025, at 5:54 pm, a 50-year-old male from Plattsburg, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Brangus, in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speeding (20 mph over), failing to register a motor vehicle, and failure to provide financial responsibility.

On 12/16/2025, at 8:41 pm, an 18-year-old male from Braymer was stopped on Highway 116 and Brangus in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for failure to provide financial responsibility.

On 12/16/2025, at 11:02 pm, a 30-year-old female from Breckenridge, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Turkey Road at Breckenridge and cited for speed (13 mph over).

On 12/18/2025, at 9:50 pm, a deputy assisted the Ray County Sheriff's Office with a suicidal subject that was possibly in the Polo area.  The subject was located and turned over to Ray County.

On 12/19/2025, at 6:06 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Broadway in Breckenridge for a report of harassment between two juveniles. The incident was reported to the Children's Division.

On 12/19/2025, at 7:20 pm, a 17-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and State Route D, in Polo, Caldwell County, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle. 

On 12/19/2025, at 9:06 pm, an 18-year-old male from Lexington, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Broadway in Kingston, MO, and cited for speed (10 mph over).

On 12/19/2025, at 10:06 pm, a 29-year-old female from Bethany, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Old Highway 36 in Hamilton, MO, and cited for speed (15 mph over).

On 12/19/2025, at 10:24 pm, a 36-year-old male from Breckenridge, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Springhill in Hamilton, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 12/20/2025, at 2:20 pm, a deputy took a report from Cameron Regional Medical Center of a self-inflicted gunshot that occurred on Mason Drive in Kidder.  It was reported that under the supervision of their parent, a 13-year-old accidentally shot themselves in the hand. 

On 12/20/2025, at 7:52 pm, a 22-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route A at Breckenridge, MO, and cited for speed (15 mph over).

On 12/20/2025, at 8:29 pm, a 31-year-old male from Grain Valley, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Far West Road at Kingston, MO, and cited for speed (12 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 12:02 am, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 13 and Tom Creek in Hamilton, which resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male from Polo for driving while intoxicated.

On 12/21/2025, at 7:22 am, a 30-year-old male from Liberty, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Ponderosa at Hamilton and cited for speeding (22 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 2:52 pm, a 41-year-old male from Seattle, WA, was stopped at Highway 36 and Turkey Road at Breckenridge and cited for speed (21 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 3:14 pm, a 38-year-old female from Brookfield, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Catawba at Breckenridge, MO, and cited for expired plates (September 2025).

On 12/21/2025, at 4:08 pm, a 31-year-old female from Polo, MO, was stopped at State Route F and Highway 13 at Kingston, MO, and cited for expired plates (October 2025).

On 12/21/2025, at 7:27 pm, a 62-year-old female from Mooresville, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route P at Hamilton, MO, and cited for speed (15 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 8:20 pm, a 26-year-old male from Richmond, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Templeton at Polo, MO, and cited for speeding (18 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 8:54 pm, a 23-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Brangus in Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speed (17 mph over).

On 12/21/2025, at 9:36 pm, a 56-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was stopped at State Route A and Mud Creek in Braymer, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 12/21/2025, at 10:46 pm, a 38-year-old male from Sedalia, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Hereford, at Polo, MO, and cited for speed (15 mph over).

On 12/22/2025, at 2:35 pm, a 64-year-old male from Hideaway Lakes in Polo was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.  The same male subject was arrested by Caldwell County deputies in October of 2025 for failing to register as a sex offender and remains in custody with no bond.

On 12/24/2025, at 2:49 pm, a deputy responded to Hideaway Lakes in Polo to serve an active arrest warrant on a 23-year-old male subject.  The subject fled from the scene and was not located. 

On 12/24/2025, at 11:05 pm, a 22-year-old male from Kidder, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Gold, at Lathrop, Caldwell County, and cited for speed (13 mph over).

On 12/25/2025, at 8:58 am, a deputy responded to Hideaway Lakes in Polo to try to locate the 23-year-old male subject that fled the day prior.  When deputies arrived, the male subject fled and jumped into the lake.  The male subject was apprehended and remains in custody.  He was also charged with two counts of resisting arrest.

On 12/25/2025, at 2:23 pm, a deputy stopped a vehicle at Main and Elm Street in Polo, which resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male from Polo for no driver's license.

On 12/26/2025, at 2:48 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Yankee Ridge in Polo for a report of a burglary.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 12/26/2025, at 2:47 pm, a 30-year-old male from Omaha, NE, was stopped at Highway 36 and Litton Road at Breckenridge and cited for speeding (20 mph over).

On 12/26/2025, at 11:46 pm, an 18-year-old male from Cowgill, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route V at Polo, MO, and cited for speed (10 mph over).

On 12/27/2025, at 9:03 am, a 35-year-old female from Chicago, IL, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route B at Hamilton and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle. 

On 12/27/2025, at 11:49 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Kirkpatrick in Braymer for a report of a disturbance and an order of protection violation.  The violator was transported to a medical facility, and a report was forwarded to the prosecutor for the filing of formal charges.

On 12/29/2025, at 8:03 pm, a 28-year-old male from Kearney, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Highway 13 at Polo, MO, and cited for speed (13 mph over).

On 12/29/2025, at 8:53 pm, a 47-year-old female from Houston, TX, was stopped at Highway 116 and State Route T at Polo, MO, and cited for speed (10 mph over).

On 12/30/2025, at 8:20 pm, a 53-year-old male from Kingston, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and State Route T at Polo, MO, and cited for speed (15 mph over).

On 12/30/2025, at 9:36 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Wisconsin Street in Breckenridge for a report of harassment.  

On 12/30/2025, at 10:15 pm, a 36-year-old female from Cameron, MO, was stopped at State Route M and Division Street in Breckenridge, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 12/31/2025, at 3:00 pm, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on State Route V, Polo, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old female subject from Polo for domestic assault.
