Caldwell County Sheriff's Office August 2025-NEWS RELEASE

On 07/28/2025, at 10:30 am, a resident of Nettleton, MO, reported they loaned their vehicle to an 18-year-old male subject from Breckenridge, MO, who never returned the vehicle.  The male subject was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.   On 08/01/2025, the male subject was stopped in that vehicle in Platte County and taken into custody. 

On 08/01/2025, at 3:39 pm, a 49-year-old male from Dawn, MO, was stopped at 4th and Petree in Braymer and cited for no vehicle/trailer registration.

On 08/02/2025, at 2:45 pm, a 45-year-old female from Hale, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Catawba and cited for failing to provide proof of financial responsibility.  

On 08/02/2025 at 9:46 pm, deputies were dispatched to a careless and imprudent driver that was reported to have been speeding and flipping off other motorists on Highway 116, outside of Polo, MO.  The driver was identified as a 33-year-old female from Cowgill, MO, and issued citation.

On 08/03/2025, a deputy took a report of a stolen lawn mower from a resident at the 900 block of Milwaukee in Polo, MO.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 08/03/2025 at 12:39 am, a deputy responded to a residence on La Quinta at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, for a report of a dispute between neighbors.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 08/03/2025 at 4:59 pm, a deputy assisted the Children's Division in Cowgill, MO, with a hotline investigation of a child that was reported to have been sexually abused by a family member.  It was discovered the crime occurred in Mooresville, MO, and a report was forwarded to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office.

On 08/03/2025 at 7:13 pm, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Main St in Cowgill, MO, in reference to property damage and harassment.  No arrests were made.

On 08/05/2025, at 6:09 am, a 56-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route B in Hamilton and cited for speeding (27 mph over).

On 08/05/2025, at 4:10 pm, a 32-year-old female from Braymer was stopped at Main and 6th in Braymer and cited for no vehicle registration.

On 08/05/2025, at 4:28 pm, a 35-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was arrested at his residence on a State of Missouri parole violation warrant.

On 08/06/2025, at 6:00 pm, a deputy responded to a residence at the 100 block of 9th Street in Breckenridge, MO, for a report of harassment.

On 08/07/2025, at 1:00 pm, a routine search of jail cells at the Caldwell County Detention Center led to the discovery of an unknown substance.  The substance is believed to be a controlled substance and was sent to the crime lab for further analysis, and the investigation is on-going.

On 08/07/2025 at 4:00 am, Caldwell County Deputies went to a residence on Main Street in Braymer, MO, for a report of a disturbance.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 08/08/2025, at 7:48 am, deputies were dispatched to an address on Railroad Pond in Nettleton for a burglary not in progress.  The victims reported that while they were away at work, someone unlawfully entered their residence and stole several items from inside. 

On 08/11/2025 at 7:59 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Reno Drive, Lathrop, Caldwell County, MO, for a report of an order of protection violation. A warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest. 

On 08/12/2025 at 8:24 am, a deputy responded to Breckenridge for a report of a careless and imprudent driver. The driver was located and advised of the complaint but, at the time, was no longer in the vehicle.

On 08/14/2025, at 7:43 am, Caldwell County deputies responded to an abandoned vehicle near the intersection of Sunset Road and Washington in Hamilton, Caldwell County, Missouri.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 08/14/2025, at 1:30 pm, deputies responded to a fire at the Detention Center.  No damage was caused by the fire, and there were no injuries.

On 08/14/2025, at 5:26 pm, a deputy responded to a residence at the 100 block of N. 7th Street in Breckenridge for a report of a domestic dispute. The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 08/15/2025, Caldwell County Deputies received information from the Caldwell County Prosecutors Office in regard to a Braymer resident who wrote numerous checks from a closed bank account. A report was forwarded back to the prosecutor's office for filing formal charges.

On 08/16/2025, at 2:38 am, a 19-year-old male from Kidder was stopped at Highway 36 and Grandview and cited for speeding (14 mph over).

On 08/16/2025, at 12:56 pm, a 25-year-old male from Overland Park, KS, was stopped at Highway 36 and Panther Road in Breckenridge and cited for speeding (35 mph over).

On 08/16/2025, at 5:24 pm, an 18-year-old male from Potosi, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Broadway in Kingston and cited for speeding (10 mph over).

On 08/16/2025, at 5:33 pm, a 45-year-old male from Lexington, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route F in Kingston and cited for expired plates (July of 2025).

On 08/16/2025, at 5:48 pm, a 26-year-old male from Liberty, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Broadway in Kingston and cited for speeding (12 mph over).

On 08/16/2025, at 6:11 pm, a 56-year-old male from Holton, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Panther in Breckenridge and cited for speeding (16 mph over).

On 08/17/2025, at 12:25 pm, a 21-year-old female from Evergreen Park, IL, was stopped at Highway 36 and Lovely Ridge in Hamilton and cited for speeding (27 mph over).

On 08/17/2025 at 12:26 pm, deputies responded to the 1000 block of South Hughes in Hamilton for a report of a possible fire. An investigation ensued, which resulted in the arrest of a 64-year-old male from Colorado for possession of a controlled substance.

On 08/17/2025, at 4:34 pm, a 55-year-old female from Polo, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Highway 13 and cited for speeding (14 mph over).

On 08/17/2025, at 5:00 pm, a 36-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route B in Hamilton and cited for no vehicle registration.

On 08/17/2025 at 5:36 pm, a deputy responded back to the residence on Reno Drive in Lathrop for a report of an order of protection violation.  The suspect was taken into custody but posted bond on the warrant from the violation that occurred on 08/11/2025.

On 08/17/2025, at 8:17 pm, a 44-year-old female from Hamilton was stopped at Highway 13 and Templeton Road in Polo and cited for expired plates (July 2025).

On 08/18/2025, at 5:27 pm, a 24-year-old male from Cowgill was stopped at Highway 13 and Price Drive in Polo and cited for expired plates (July 2025).

On 08/20/2025, at 6:44 am, a 22-year-old female from Manhattan, KS, was stopped at Highway 36 and Panther in Breckenridge and cited for speeding (19 mph over).

On 08/20/2025, at 7:45 am, a 34-year-old male from Kansas City, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route B in Hamilton and cited for no vehicle registration and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

On 08/20/2025, at 10:34 am, Caldwell County Deputies responded to the 200 block on Main in Braymer for a report of fraud.  The suspects were identified as a 34-year-old male from Raymore, MO, and a 61-year-old male from Kansas City, MO.  A report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office for filing of formal charges.

On 08/20/2025, at 8:54 pm, a deputy assisted with a deceased subject in Braymer.  No foul play was suspected.

On 08/20/2025, at 11:40 pm, a deputy responded to the Sheriff's Office to speak with a subject in regard to harassment. The victim became uncooperative in the investigation, and no charges were filed.

On 08/21/2021, at 1:30 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Price Drive in Polo, MO, for a report of a burglary. The resident reported an unknown subject unlawfully entered their residence and stole money. The investigation is ongoing.

On 08/22/2025, a deputy responded to the Caldwell County Detention Center for a report of an inmate that was brought in by another agency, and an unknown white powdery substance was found in their wallet, which tested positive as fentanyl.  The inmate, a 23-year-old male from Trenton, MO, was charged for possession of a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance into a jail.

On 08/23/2025, at 8:05 pm, a deputy responded to a residence at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, for a report of a theft of a generator.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 08/25/2025 at 4:30 pm, Caldwell County Deputies responded to the Caldwell County Detention Center in reference to a suicidal subject.  The subject was later transported to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

On 08/26/2025, at 10:35 am, a 41-year-old female from Grand Rapids, MI, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route B in Hamilton and was cited for speeding (21 mph over).

On 08/26/2025, at 2:15 pm, a 31-year-old female from Polo was stopped at Farabee and Main and cited for no vehicle registration.

On 08/26/2025, at 2:45 pm, a 65-year-old female from Braymer was stopped at Highway 116 and Oliver in Braymer and cited for speeding (10 mph over).

On 08/28/2025, at 9:04 am, a 36-year-old male from Leesburg, VA, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route U in Hamilton and cited for speeding (20 mph over). 

On 08/28/2025 at 10:58 am a deputy responded to the area of Zach Wheat and Highway 13 for an abandoned vehicle.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 08/28/2025, at 11:42 am, a deputy responded to the area of Turkey Road and Highway 36 for an abandoned vehicle.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 08/29/2025, at 2:08 pm, a 25-year-old male from Bethalto, IL, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route J in Kidder and cited for speeding (22 mph over).

On 08/29/2025, at 2:43 pm, a 19-year-old from Alden, KS, was stopped at Highway 36 and Springhill in Hamilton and cited for speeding (26 mph over).

On 08/29/2025 at 5:05 pm, Caldwell County deputies took a report of harassment at the Braymer K-12 School involving students and a teacher.  The investigation is ongoing.

On 08/29/2025, at 9:10 am, a 21-year-old male from Dallas, TX, was stopped at Highway 116 and Kirkpatrick and cited for an expired driver's license.

On 08/30/2025, at 9:08 am, a 53-year-old female from Lenexa, KS, was stopped at Highway 36 and Joe Montana in Cameron and cited for speeding (19 mph over).

On 08/30/2025, at 10:15 am, a 28-year-old male from Denver, CO, was stopped at Highway 36 and State Route A in Breckenridge, MO.

On 08/30/2025, at 5:30 pm, a 24-year-old male from Lawson, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Kendal in Kingston and cited for speeding (16 mph over).

On 08/30/2025, at 5:43 pm, a 50-year-old female from Trenton, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Broadway in Kingston and cited for speeding (18 mph over).

On 08/30/2025, at 7:47 pm, a 24-year-old male from Richmond, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route F in Kingston and cited for speeding (10 mph over).

On 08/31/2025 at 1:51 am, Caldwell County Deputies were dispatched to an address on 11th Street in Breckenridge, MO, for a report of an assault.  A suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 08/31/2025, at 10:48 am, a 31-year-old male from Lawson, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Lincoln in Kingston and cited for speeding (26 mph over) and no vehicle registration. 

On 08/31/2025, at 12:19 pm, a 62-year-old male from Clive, IA, was stopped at Highway 13 and Lincoln in Kingston and cited for speeding (31 mph over).

On 08/31/2025, at 12:34 pm, a 22-year-old female from Marshalltown, IA, was stopped at Highway 13 and Lincoln in Kingston and cited for speeding (28 mph over).

On 08/31/2025, at 4:39 pm, a 71-year-old female from Kingston was stopped at Highway and Kendall in Kingston and cited for an expired vehicle registration (July of 2024).

On 08/31/2025, at 5:47 pm, a 24-year-old male from Hamilton was stopped at Highway 36 and Highway 13 and cited for an expired registration (June 2025).
