On 04/01/2025, at 3:30 pm, detectives from the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office began an investigation of fraud that occurred at a business in the city limits of Hamilton, MO. The investigation is ongoing.
On 04/01/2025, at 10:04 am, deputies took a report of illegal dumping near State Route P and Mill Creek in Hamilton, MO. A suspect was identified and agreed to remove what was dumped. No charges were filed.
On 04/04/2025, at 7:28 pm, a 37-year-old female from Lathrop, MO, was stopped on Highway 36 at Caldwell Road, Kidder, MO, and cited for a child that was not properly restrained.
On 04/05/2025, at 8:15 pm, a deputy responded to a disturbance in Braymer, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old male from Braymer for driving while intoxicated.
On 04/06/2025, at 1:10 am, a deputy took a report of a domestic dispute that occurred the previous day from a resident at the 500 block of E Arthur, Hamilton, MO. There were no injuries reported, and the parties involved separated. No arrests were made.
On 04/06/2025, at 11:19 am, a deputy responded to a vehicle fire at Highway 36 and State Route D, Kidder, MO. The owner of the vehicle reported they were driving across their field and then got stuck, which ignited a fire under their vehicle. KAW Fire responded to the scene to assist, but the vehicle was a total loss.
On 04/06/2025, at 7:17 pm, a 23-year-old male from St. Joseph, MO, was stopped on Highway 36 at Lovely Ridge Road, Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (25 mph over).
On 04/07/2025, at 5:28 pm, a deputy took a report of pornographic material that was furnished to a minor. After further investigation, it was discovered the incident occurred outside of the Caldwell County jurisdiction, and the case was referred to another agency.
On 04/07/2025, at 3:08 pm, a 32-year-old male from Wheeling, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Livingston County bond violation warrant on the original charge of driving while intoxicated.
On 04/08/2025, at 4:40 pm, a deputy responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Blue Jay Drive, Polo, MO (Hideaway Lakes). The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.
On 04/08/2025, at 7:09 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Duroc Drive in Cameron, Caldwell County, MO, for a report of harassment. The reporting party was advised of the steps to obtain a protection order.
On 04/09/2025, at 10:35 pm, a deputy responded to a break-in, which resulted in damage to the property, at the storage units in Hamilton, MO. The investigation is ongoing.
On 04/11/2025, at 8:27 am, a deputy responded to a motor vehicle crash on Burlington Road, Breckenridge, MO. It appeared the vehicle crashed sometime during the night, and the driver fled the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
On 04/08/2025, at 4:40 pm, a deputy took a report of a domestic assault that occurred at an address on Blue Jay Drive in Polo, MO (Hideaway Lakes). The suspect was identified as a 37-year-old male from Polo, MO, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The suspect was charged with 1st-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and kidnapping and was apprehended on 04/22/2025 in Ray County, MO. He remains in custody at the Caldwell County Detention Center.
On 04/09/2025, at 4:50 pm, a 58-year-old female from Polo, MO, was stopped near Highway 13 and State Route V, Polo, MO, and cited for failure to register a motor vehicle and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
On 04/11/2025, at 5:57 pm, deputies responded to a domestic dispute on Blue Jay Drive at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO. The victim reported they were assaulted by their spouse. There were visible injuries, and the parties had separated. No arrests were made.
On 04/12/2025, at 10:30 am, deputies responded to a residence in Braymer, MO, in reference to an elderly person that passed away.
On 04/12/2025, at 5:17 pm, a 49-year-old male from Polo, MO, was arrested at an address on Eagle Creek Drive at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, on two active Caldwell County warrants for driving without a license and no insurance.
On 04/12/2025, at 10:42 pm, a 42-year-old male from Higginsville, MO, was stopped on Highway 13 at Kendal Road, Kingston, MO, and cited for speeding (12 mph over).
On 04/13/2025, at 9:28 am, a 28-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Hereford, Polo, MO, and cited for no vehicle registration.
On 04/13/2025, at 12:19 pm, an 81-year-old male from Rascommon, MI, was stopped on Highway 36 at Lovely Ridge, Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (25 mph over).
On 04/14/2025, at 8:30 am, a deputy took a report of identity theft from a resident on Dillon Drive, Hamilton, MO. The investigation is ongoing.
On 04/15/2025, at 12:05 pm, a deputy took a report of an inappropriate video of a student that was shared at a school in Caldwell County by other students. After further investigation, it was discovered the incident happened several months ago and was handled by the parents involved.
On 04/16/2025, at 9:57 am, a deputy assisted a detective with the Johnson County Kansas Sheriff's Office with collecting DNA from a Caldwell County sex offender, who is a person of interest in a pending investigation in their jurisdiction. Shortly after the DNA was collected, the offender moved to another county in Missouri.
On 04/16/2025, at 2:20 pm, a 51-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was stopped on Highway 13 and Jesse, Kingston, MO, and cited for no vehicle registration.
On 04/17/2025 at approximately 0910 hours, a deputy conducted an investigation in the 4000 block of State Route B, Hamilton, Missouri 64644. As a result of the investigation, Caldwell County detectives applied for and obtained a search warrant for that address. An 18-year-old female was arrested for possession with intent to distribute. A 22-year-old male was arrested on multiple warrants, as well as for resisting arrest by fleeing, and a 32-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 04/18/2025, at 2:06 pm, a deputy responded to the area of 4000 S Highway 13, Polo, MO, for a report of two individuals standing next to a car near a vacant house. One of the individuals, a 43-year-old female from Excelsior Springs, MO, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 04/18/2025 at 11:42 am, a deputy responded to a domestic dispute at a residence at the 100 block of 1st Street, Breckenridge, MO. The parties involved separated.
On 04/19/2025 at 1:19 pm, a deputy responded to a structure fire on Royals Rd, Polo, MO. It is believed a mower caught fire after it was parked inside of a building. No foul play was suspected, and no injuries were reported.
On 04/19/2025, at 4:46 am, a 45-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Grandview, Cameron, MO, and cited for speeding (20 mph over).
On 04/19/2025, at 4:25 pm, a 27-year-old male from Warrensburg, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Templeton Drive, Polo, MO, and cited for speeding (21 mph over).
On 04/19/2025, at 4:47 pm, a 46-year-old male from Winston, MO, was stopped on Highway 13 and Farabee, Polo, MO, and was cited for failure to register a motor vehicle.
On 04/20/2025, at 3:17 pm, a 38-year-old female from Mount Ayr, IA, was stopped at Highway 13 and Berry, Hamilton, MO, and cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
On 04/22/2025, at 12:33 am, a deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on State Route D, Polo, MO, but it was later discovered the vehicle was repossessed.
On 04/22/2025, at 10:46 pm, a deputy responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Route A, Braymer, MO. It appeared the vehicle crashed sometime during the night, and the driver fled the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
On 04/24/2025, at 9:40 am, a 17-year-old female from Hamilton, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route U and cited for an equipment violation.
On 04/24/2025, at 11:14 am, a 31-year-old female from Independence, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services in Hamilton, MO, on a Caldwell County bond violation warrant on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance. The female violated bond conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance.
On 04/24/2025, at 12:17 am, a 46-year-old male from Polo, MO, turned himself in at the Sheriff's Office on a State of Missouri probation/parole warrant on the original charge of domestic assault.
On 04/24/2025, at 2:00 pm, Caldwell County deputies took a report from a high school in Caldwell County of pornographic material that was shared by students. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile Office.
On 04/24/2025, at 3:34 pm, a 46-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services in Hamilton, MO, on a Livingston County probation violation warrant, on the original charge of 1st degree property damage.
On 04/25/2025, at 7:50 am, a 26-year-old female from Utica, MO, was stopped at Highway 36 and Sunset, Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (10 mph over).
On 04/25/2025, at 11:33 am, a 43-year-old male from Lampe, MO, was arrested at the Caldwell County Courthouse on a failure to appear Caldwell County warrant, on the original charge of non-support.
On 04/25/2025, at 5:32 pm, a 30-year-old male from Richmond, MO, was stopped at Wooded and 5th, Braymer, MO, and cited for failure to register and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
On 04/26/2025, at 7:20 am, a 23-year-old female from Bartow, FL, was stopped at Highway 36 and Springhill Road, Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (25 mph over).
On 04/27/2025, at 8:00 am, a 22-year-old male from Tempe, AZ, was stopped at Highway 36 and Turkey Road, Breckenridge, MO, and cited for speeding (33 mph over).
On 04/27/2025, at 11:11 am, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Main and First, Braymer, MO, on a vehicle with no license plates. The driver, a 37-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On 04/27/2025 at 3:15 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 116 and Chiefs Road, Braymer, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old male from Bogard, MO, for an active Carroll County warrant on the original charges of property damage and trespassing.
On 04/27/2025, at 3:29 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 36 at Business 36, Hamilton, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 52-year-old male from Olathe, KS, for driving without a license, speeding (26 mph over), and failure to register a motor vehicle.
On 04/27/2025, at 6:58 pm, a 43-year-old female from Breckenridge, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Catawba Road, Braymer, MO, and cited for speeding (12 mph over).
On 04/28/2025, at 9:11 am, a deputy responded to the detention center for a report of a subject that drove there without a license. The driver, a 41-year-old female from Salem, MO, was contacted and issued a citation for no driver's license.
On 04/28/2025, detectives opened an investigation in reference to fraud. The victim reported they received correspondence from an unknown suspect regarding a fake warrant for their arrest. The scam artist directed the victim to take a large amount of money to a Bitcoin machine and send money to defer their arrest. The victim notified the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, and the investigation is ongoing.
On 04/30/2025, at 5:37 pm, a 53-year-old male from Independence, MO, was stopped at Highway 116 and Rock Island, Cowgill, MO, and cited for speeding.
On 04/30/2025, at 6:21 pm, a deputy responded to a residence in Polo, MO, in reference to an unattended death. No foul play was suspected.
